Welcome Victoria!

Much has happened since my last post: we experienced a mild earthquake, a hurricane named Irene took out a tree in our front yard and my little sister, Victoria Ann, was born. Victoria arrived about 10 hours early (she was due September 8th - arrived on the 7th at 2:24pm). To give you some additional context with regard to how timely we Christakis girls are, I arrived about 11 hours late (I was due May 5th, arrived May 6th). No making Mommy go through any more discomfort than she absolutely has to, right?

So, there are four of us now. I've quickly grown accustomed to being a big sister. Baba took me to visit Mommy and Victoria at the hospital the next day. I was so excited (I'm still pretty excited!). Since then, I've tried to assist in whatever way possible. Mostly I've been hugging and kissing Victoria (making sure she knows she's loved), shuttling clean diapers to Mommy/Baba and taking dirty diapers to the garbage (ensuring she maintains some level of personal hygiene) and advising Mommy/Baba when Victoria is crying (it's frequently, but not all of the time).

Now, as to the question that some of you have posed to me: "will Victoria have a blog?" I am pleased to announce that this blog's title will officially be "Life as the Christakis Daughters" (plural) and Victoria will be "guest blogging" periodically until she begins at Tutor Time (some time in November) at which time she'll become a "regular contributor."
