It's (Finally!) Fall

It's been a bit of a weird summer - weather-wise, at least. Lots of rain, a stretch of some pretty serious humidity and the mosquito's have been unbearable (I've been nursing some bug bites for a few days now). It seems that fall has finally arrived, however. Their was a noticeable chill in the air today. What better way to usher in autumn than to go pick apples? We did just that this afternoon as morning showers gave way to afternoon sunshine. I picked about as many apples as I ate. That is, I was picking, biting, biting some more, then discarding them as we moved to the next tree. Classic apple picking skills. After we picked a bag-full, we headed to the orchard's bakery for some donuts and apple cider. Yeah, fall's definitely here!

I would be remiss if I didn't make note of the fact that my little sister also made her apple picking debut. She slept through it, in fact. Maybe next year, Victoria.
