It was a cool (dare I say "fall") day today. A perfect day for cider and donuts and for picking the perfect pumpkins. We headed out to Goold Orchards (just down the street) and brought home two perfect little pumpkins. They really are little, but Baba is confident that we can manage to carve at least one of them in the next few days. That should be fun. Truthfully, there weren't many good pumpkins left. Slim pickings indeed. Next year we're going to pick our pumpkins when we pick our apples. Oh, and as for the donuts and cider - yeah, we had some. The donuts were warm (and super tasty!).

Carving my first pumpkin.
We went pumpkin picking several weeks ago (it was probably Columbus Day, actually). Anyway, in anticipation of Halloween tomorrow night, Mommy, Baba and I carved a pumpkin. I'll confess that I wasn't a huge fan of sticking my hand into the pumpkin, but I got used to it (it was slimy!). I think our pumpkin turned our pretty well - not too scary, not too silly...just right. Just more fall fun with the family!
